Dear phpdocx support team,

I downloaded the following example and set the table borders to "No Border" and turned on "View Gridlines". The dotted lines of the table became strange and different from inserting a table directly in MS WORD. Is this normal?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

We have tested it using MS Word 2019, MS Word 2016, MS Word 2013 and MS Word 2010; and also LibreOffice 7 and LibreOffice 6. In all cases we get a correct output, the grid lines are the same than generating a new table with MS Word.

You can send a screenshot of the output you get to contact[at]phpdocx.com . Maybe you have some extra style being applied?

Regards.

Sorry, it's 'example_addTable_3', not 'example_addTable_1'. I have already sent  a screenshot of the output to contact@phpdocx.com .

Hello,

Those extra dots appear when the cell includes cell margins. You get the same output with MS Word as well if you add cell margins to a cell, hide borders and enable View Gridlines.

phpdocx and MS Word return the same outputs. If you don't want to see those extra dots, added by MS Word when enabling the View Gridlines option, please avoid setting cell margins.

Regards.
