Detecting marges of an existing files

When I open a an existing file, the marge of the document changes for default values (witch are not the Microsoft default values). WHen I save the docx, the layout is a mess !

I can change the values with "modifyPageLayout" but I need to know what were they.

Is there anyway to detecte the properties of the original docx ?
