Every phpdocx version includes new features and improvements. Previously unsupported features may have been added to newer releases, or past issues may have been corrected.

Phpdocx 4 has a new API, so you'd need to do changes in your code.
The Corporate license allows you to mergeDocx and the transform the DOCX output to PDF. Please read this doc, that explains the class:
